Becky and Jake

What do you get when you mix a cast of misfits with burrowing sand creatures who have nothing whatsoever to do with the geriatric spice melange? What you get is the movie Tremors 2: Aftershocks; and, Becky, Jake, and Sammy the cat are on hand to get you on rocky ground by any means they can. When Earl, played by Burt Ward from the first film, falls on hard financial times with a failing ostrich farm, a lucrative offer from a Mexican oil company lures him and a spunky young man (not Kevin Bacon) to go on a graboid hunt. Armed with RC cars and TNT, they declare war on the less intelligent relatives of the first film's underground monsters. But when a graboid mutation pits them against an entirely different creature, Earl is forced to call in an old friend with a truck load of explosive firepower. A literal truck load. And even then, what's that against creatures who have Predator infrared vision and can form cheerleading pyramids? And...Becky and Jake have a small surprise to reveal at the end of the episode, so keep that expensive ear bud stuck in the ear canal and tuned in, so that it won't slide out and vanish into the grass.
