Becky and Jake

If we hold on together, Becky and Jake just might stand a chance as they begin their perilous journey through The Land Before Time series, starting with the second film, simply titled, The Great Valley Adventure. Join the dino gang: Little Foot, Cera, Duckie Petrie, and Spike as they're forced into premature adulthood via the task of raising a dinosaur hatchling. The only problem is, this newborn thunder lizard has a mouth full of razor sharp teeth and will eventually grow to roughly the height of six Andre the Giants stacked on top of each other. Plus, fresh over the mountainous wall of the Great Valley gated community, there come two raptorlike creatures who chase the dream of sampling tasty dino eggs followed by  a duo of concerned T-Rex parents in search their offspring.   What follows for the dino kids is a grand adventure and a hidden lesson in tolerance, which is surprisingly deep for a kid's movie; at least, that's the conclusion that Jake came to. But do come along for the fun and the musical numbers sung by the dino kids who are just playing and having a good time. For Becky and Jake though, they must travel on, following the golden circle for twelve more Land Before Time movies before they can say their trip to huge valley is done.

(And contrary to what you may hear, Becky and Jake's ability to correctly identify dinosaurs by their species is actually on par with what a preschooler knows since they  identified only two out of the all the species shown in the film. Correcting this information may very well be part of their journey too.)
