Becky and Jake

Who traps the parent trapper? This is the phrase foremost on Becky and Jake's mind as they discuss today's tv Sunday Movie by Disney: The Parent Trap 2. In yet another sequel that takes place decades after the original, we find the Haley Mills twins all grown up and far removed from the success of reuniting their parents in wedded bliss. When Sharon, twin no. 1, sends her daughter Nikki to summer school, the girl makes the best of things in remedial English by becoming insta-bestie's with fellow classmate Mary. Together they hatch a scheme to get their single parents together and not because they're estranged siblings. The truth is they want to be sisters real, real bad. To aid them in this quest, they enlist the help of aunt Susan, twin no. 2, and ask her to be her sister so as to move the romance along its natural course. The outcome of Nikki and Mary's byzantine plans causes a comedy of errors which would make the Barber of Seville find another line of work. And when the dust of the intrigue and masquerade has settled, will the mood be favorable to marriage lightning captured not once, but twice in a bottle?
